Bill Saiff III, Host of Cabin Country (Watertown, NY)

Alberta is a wonderland for anyone interested in pursuing ducks and geese and Dean
Regehr has his finger on the pulse of waterfowl in his part of Alberta. His
clients are the direct beneficiaries of good scouting, development of
areas and quality field rigs. Dean and Phil's operation is a mainstay
for the filming of my outdoor series "Cabin Country" (as seen on PBS & The
Outdoor Channel) - the bird production keeps us coming back for more! Whether its Giant Canadas or the cyclonic flocks of Mallards & Pintail, this
is a great place to gun.

Hunting Canada is a dream for most people and I have been fortunate to make over 20 trips there in the past. The beauty of the land and amount of game brings you to a different place in time. Game is not around every tree however and this is where Dean and Phil shine (scouting). For the best possible hunts to be pulled off you need to be in the right spot. The contacts that his guys have with the farmers are tremendous in this vast country. I feel that he does whatever it takes to make a great hunt. A lot of preparation in put forth behind the scenes to pull it all together. Great food and accommodations.

Dean & Phil
I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for such an awesome hunting trip
last September. Your hospitality and friendliness really made this a trip of a lifetime.
The new lodge on the lake was fantastic , The large bedrooms were great and they were always
cleaned daily. It was really cool to be able to lay in bed at night and here all
the geese and ducks roosting up on the lake.
Bev did a great job of keeping us fed. Everytime we returned to the lodge she had another delicious meal
on the table and ready to go.
The hunting was fantastic. All of the work that you, Phil, and Brian put in , sure payed off. From the spotting ,
contacts with all the property owners , calling , and all the brand new GHG decoys and gear. We constantly had
flock after flock of Honkers , Specks , mallards , And sprig trying to land in our spread. I have been
hunting waterfowl for 20 years and this was by far the best goose hunting that I have ever had.
I can't wait to come back for 2008.

Dean:
I just wanted to drop you a line thanking you and staff for a great hunt. I would like to make special mention about Brian. He was truly a pleasure to hunt with and an all around good guy. I am sure that once he finishes college that he will be a great success.
We all look very forward to seeing you and Phil next year. If Brian is around we will look forward to hunting with him as well.
Take care!

Well said Dave. I second your sentiments. Brian's talents are both as an exceptional hunting guide (especially his calling abilities) and as client-oriented team player. He will do well in any field he chooses. I keep hearing "Kill Those Geese" in my head. Seeing that flotilla of big majestic birds trying to land on top of us is something I won't soon forget.
Dean - I hope to see you, Jamie, Phil, Brain & Bev again next year. Everyone was great to us. BTW, I left a pair of wool lined green rubber boots there at the lodge. Hope to retrieve them next year. I'm told that when you leave something at someone's house, it subconsciously means you want to return.

Dear Dean:
After 35 years of duck hunting, I can truly say that the goose and duck hunts with you rank at the top! The numbers of birds, great setups, professional guides, and friendly attitudes made for a very enjoyable trip. I won’t say much about the food, except that I am still trying to drop the 5 pounds I gained there! The facilities at Red Deer Lake are fantastic; those sunsets make you want to stay forever. As Bob Hope would say, “thanks for the memories!”
I look forward to visiting again.

We were "attacked" by Canada Geese and Mallards on every hunt. My best waterfowl shoot in over 50 years of hunting.

Dave Ridinger (Tucson, AZ)

Son Dave, Jr. and I hunted waterfowl with Dean Regehr's Outdoor Adventure the first week of October - our second year with Dean. We have only positive things to day about the hunt - lots of birds, lots of shooting, great accomodations and food, in addition to well-seasoned professional guides (and the dog!) who made every attempt to make the hunts pleasurable. Limits were filled most days. We plan to return next year.

Hi Dean,
I just wanted to drop you a quick note about our hunting trip we had with you.
Being in the luxury chauffeur transportation industry and having a company slogan of “Committed to Perfection”, I have become accustomed to expecting superior service. I must commend you and your staff on a job well done. Starting off a trip with no luggage or even a gun (I never did receive an apology letter from the airline) was frustrating, but you and staff handled this like chauffeurs would – Whatever it takes!!! The hunting was phenomenal, the hospitality was scrumptious, and your staff was professional, courteous, and accommodating at all times. Both Phil and Brian went above and beyond the call of duty each and everyday – Thank you all for the most incredible hunting experience in my life! It’s going to be hard to top next year.
If you are ever in the Napa / Sonoma Wine Country or the San Francisco Bay Area, you can count on the same incredible service.

I wanted to thank you again for a great hunt. I have been fortunate to hunt waterfowl many places and I must say your operation ranks with the best of them. Your scouting, preparation, equipment, and staff are all top notch.
I have never seen anyone with as much drive as Phil , and it shows in the end results. Whether it be the lodging , the meals , the people , or the hunting, I had a great time with you guys and look forward to next time.

It is without reservations that I recommend Dean Regehr's Outdoor Adventures. I have hunted with Dean more times than I can remember and have always found him to be ethical and willing to go the extra mile so that your experience is enjoyable and successful. I have referred many friends to Dean and they have never been disappointed. Having hunted in twenty three countries or states and having collected over one hundred species of animals, I can only say that about a handful of outfitters. You will not be disappointed!

I wanted to take a few minutes to thank you and Phil for a great goose/duck hunting experience.
A great hunting experience is not measured only by the number of birds that are harvested, but also by the companionship of the hunters and the guides.
I must say that you and Phil were very enjoyable to be around, many guides/owners do not make their clients feel as welcome as you both did, they look at what they are doing as a job and nothing else. I could tell from day one that both you and Phil enjoy what you are doing and that you both would go the extra mile to make the hunting experience as enjoyable as possible.
I know I will book a return trip to hunt with you and Phil next year. I'm talking now with a few of my friends and grandson about a hunting trip with you next season. Thanks again my friend for an enjoyable hunt.

I just wanted to write a brief response to say how much I have enjoyed hunting with Dean Regehr and Dean's Outdoor Adventures. Dean is as hardworking an outfitter as I have ever experienced. His equipment, area and abundance of game is first class. The sum of all these factors result in a quality and successful experience. I recommend Dean highly and look forward to hunting with him again next season.

Vic and Donna Pickett (South Jordan, Utah)
I've hunted geese and ducks with several outfitters in Canada, and I can truly say that the only hunts that I still look back on and giggle about with my wife, brother, and buddies, all happened with Dean Regehr! I now book with him alone every year. His equipment, decoys, dogs, hired help, food, and accomodations are second to none.
Dean does his homework on where the birds are long before you arrive, and he continues to
have his help monitor their whereabouts every day while you're there. The end results are you have shoots that are "UNBELIEVABLE." My wife Donna and I just returned from the Safari Club meeting in Reno where I saw two outfitters that I had previously hunted with sitting at booths booking hunts, and I had no desire to stop and talk to them because all I had were bad memories and feelings about my experience with them...too little shooting, poor decoys, general boredom. With Dean I had to put Canada calling on my cell phone plan just so I can call and talk to him several times each month, because he and his wife Leslie have become dear friends. I have a hunt booked in Sept. for Donna, myself and friends, and she wants to go again in Oct. and take some of her dental lab employees! How many of your wives want you to go on two
hunts in a year with the same outfitter??? Maybe you should book with Dean Regehr...but beware...
he will absolutely spoil you!!!
